Der Gasthof, ein Blockhaus, ist seit 2006 in Betrieb. Mitten im Wald in der Rotte Holzschlag zwischen Maria Raisenmarkt und Peilstein bzw. zwischen Maria Raisenmarkt und Nöstach.

Der Gastraum ist groß und hell, mit viel Holz ausgestattet. Dazu gibt es einen großen Gastgarten. Die Küche ist traditionell-deftig. Besonders beliebt ist der Topfenstrudel mit Vanillesauce. Auch einige Moste aus der Region finden sich auf der Getränkekarte.
